About TV Rental in Malaysia
What is TV rental Malaysia?
TV rental Malaysia refers to the short-term hire of LED televisions, commercial displays, touch screens, digital standees, and other display equipment for events, exhibitions, corporate functions, and other occasions. Rather than purchasing expensive equipment that may only be used once or twice, event organisers rent high-quality displays for the duration of their event and return them afterwards.
CK TV Rental King specialises in this service across Malaysia, providing everything from a single 32-inch counter display to a full multi-screen exhibition setup with 20+ units.
How does TV rental work?
The TV rental process is simple and designed to be hassle-free:
- Contact us with your event details — date, venue location, TV sizes, quantity, and any special requirements.
- Receive your quote — we respond within 2 hours with a clear, itemised price including delivery and setup.
- Confirm your booking by paying a deposit. We lock in your equipment and delivery slot.
- Event day — our crew arrives at your venue, delivers and professionally sets up all display equipment.
- Post-event — we return to dismantle and collect all equipment at the agreed time. You're done.
Is TV rental suitable for one-day events?
Yes, absolutely. TV rental is very well suited to one-day events — in fact, the majority of our bookings are for single-day events such as exhibitions, product launches, seminars, and weddings. We offer both half-day (up to 6 hours) and full-day (up to 12 hours) rental options.
The rental period covers the time the equipment is at your venue, from setup to collection. We account for setup and teardown time in our scheduling so you have the full rental period for your actual event.
What types of businesses typically use TV rental?
TV rental is used across a very wide range of industries and organisations in Malaysia, including:
- Event management and AV production companies
- Exhibition and trade show organisers and booth contractors
- Corporate companies running AGMs, product launches, training sessions, and conferences
- Hotels and convention centres supplementing their in-house AV
- Advertising, marketing, and PR agencies
- Government agencies and GLCs (Government-Linked Companies)
- Universities, polytechnics, and schools
- Retail brands and FMCG companies running mall activations
- Wedding planners and couples
- Automotive and property developers running roadshows
Why rent instead of buying a TV for an event?
Renting makes significantly more sense than buying for event use, for several compelling reasons:
- Cost savings — purchasing a quality 65-inch 4K TV and a professional floor stand costs thousands of ringgit. Renting for one day costs a small fraction of that.
- No logistics burden — no need to arrange transport, worry about damage in transit, or find storage space after the event.
- Always the latest models — rental stock is maintained and updated regularly.
- Professional delivery and setup included — our crew handles everything.
- Technical support available — we're available if anything needs attention during your event.
- No depreciation or resale issues — you simply return the equipment after the event.
- Flexible quantity — rent exactly how many units you need for each event, rather than owning a fixed number.

What is the difference between LED TV and commercial display?
A consumer LED TV is designed for home environments. It performs well in dimly lit home theatres and living rooms and comes with smart TV features, built-in speakers, and wide viewing angle support.
A commercial display (also called a professional or business display) is purpose-built for event and commercial use. Key differences include:
- Higher brightness — commercial displays are significantly brighter, maintaining excellent image quality even in well-lit venues or under direct lighting.
- Built for continuous operation — rated for 16–18 hours of continuous daily use, unlike consumer TVs which are typically rated for 6–8 hours.
- Advanced connectivity — more input ports, RS-232 control, LAN management, and often no-gap bezels for video wall configurations.
- Anti-glare coating — available on commercial units, reducing reflections from venue lighting.
We stock both types. Our team will recommend the most appropriate option for your specific event environment and requirements.
Do you offer touch screen TVs for rent?
Yes. We offer interactive touch screen rental in Malaysia in sizes ranging from 32 to 86 inches. Our touch screen displays support multi-touch input (typically 10-point or 20-point touch) and are compatible with Windows systems and Android-based signage players.
Touch screens are particularly popular for:
- Interactive kiosks and self-service registration counters
- Interactive product showcases and digital catalogues
- Visitor engagement activities at exhibitions and roadshows
- Digital signage with audience interaction
- Training room whiteboards
What is a digital standee?
A digital standee (also called a digital poster stand or digital banner stand) is a slim, freestanding portrait-orientation display mounted on a sleek floor stand. It is designed as a modern, reusable alternative to traditional printed banner stands and poster boards.
Digital standees play looped video or image content automatically, creating eye-catching dynamic visual displays. They are ideal for:
- Mall activations and brand promotions
- Retail and point-of-sale displays
- Reception and lobby areas
- Event entrances and wayfinding
- Roadshow and outdoor activations
Visit our Digital Standee Rental page for more information.
Can I rent multiple TVs for one event?
Yes, absolutely. Multi-unit bookings are a significant part of our business. We regularly supply 5, 10, 20 or more TVs for a single event — particularly for large exhibitions, trade shows, and multi-room conference setups.
For multi-unit bookings, we can supply a mix of sizes if needed (for example, large TVs for main displays and smaller units for counters or breakout rooms). Volume bookings may qualify for better pricing. Simply let us know the quantity and mix you need when requesting your quote.
Do you have 4K UHD TVs available?
Yes. We offer 4K UHD (Ultra High Definition, 3840 × 2160 resolution) displays in multiple sizes. 4K resolution is recommended in situations where:
- The display will be viewed at close range (within 1–2 metres), where individual pixels may become visible on a Full HD screen.
- High-resolution content will be shown (detailed product images, high-quality video footage, architectural or property renders).
- Image quality is particularly important, such as premium product launches or luxury brand events.
Please specifically request 4K resolution when submitting your quote request if it is a requirement for your event.
Delivery, Setup & Support
Do you deliver and set up the TV?
Yes — delivery, professional setup, and post-event collection are all included in our TV rental packages. You don't need to arrange transport, assemble stands, or connect cables yourself.
Our trained crew will:
- Transport all equipment to your venue
- Position and assemble the TV stand or mount
- Mount the TV securely on the stand
- Connect all cables and test the display with your content source
- Confirm picture quality and orientation (landscape or portrait)
- Brief you on basic operation before leaving
- Return after your event to dismantle and collect all equipment

How long does delivery and setup take?
Setup time varies based on the number of units and complexity of the setup:
- 1–2 TVs with standard floor stands: approximately 30–45 minutes
- 3–6 TVs with mixed stands: approximately 1–2 hours
- 7–15 TVs across a large hall: approximately 2–4 hours
- 15+ units or complex multi-room setup: 4+ hours, usually requiring early access to the venue
We always coordinate with you to ensure our crew arrives well in advance of your event start time. For large setups, we recommend requesting venue access the evening before if possible.
Can you set up at a hotel, convention centre, or mall?
Yes. We regularly deliver and set up at hotels, convention centres, shopping malls, MICE venues, exhibition halls, and outdoor event spaces across Malaysia. We are experienced with the vendor access procedures and loading dock requirements at major venues, including:

What if the TV has a technical problem during my event?
Your event continuity is our priority. All rental equipment is thoroughly tested before delivery. However, if an issue does arise during your event:
- Call us immediately on 012-659 7702 — our team is available during all event hours.
- We will guide you through basic troubleshooting by phone where possible (many issues are simple connection or input source problems that can be resolved in minutes).
- If a hardware fault is confirmed, we will dispatch a replacement unit or technician as quickly as possible.
- For critical or high-profile events, we recommend requesting on-site technical standby support (available as an add-on service) so a technician is present throughout your event.
Pricing & Booking
How much does TV rental cost in Malaysia?
TV rental pricing in Malaysia depends on several key factors: the TV size, rental duration, quantity of units, delivery location, and setup complexity. As a result, prices vary significantly between bookings.
As a general guide, smaller TVs (32"–43") for a single day represent the most affordable tier, while large-format displays (86"+) for multi-day events in outstation locations represent the premium tier. Volume discounts may apply for large multi-unit bookings.
Visit our TV Rental Pricing Guide for an indicative breakdown by size and duration tier, or contact us directly for a personalised quote for your specific event.
How do I get a price quote?
Getting a quote is fast and easy. Choose any of these methods:
- Quote Request Form — fill in the Contact page form with your event details and we'll respond with a full quote within 2 hours.
- WhatsApp — message us on 012-659 7702. Share your event date, venue, TV size(s), and quantity. This is often the fastest way to get an initial ballpark.
- Phone call — call 012-659 7702 directly to speak with our team and get immediate guidance.
For the most accurate quote, please share: your event date and duration, the venue/location, TV sizes required, number of units, whether you need touch screen or standard displays, and whether a stand or wall mount is needed.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible to ensure equipment availability, especially during peak periods:
- Peak periods (March–April, September–November exhibition seasons; December year-end): book 4–8 weeks in advance.
- Normal periods: 2–4 weeks in advance is generally sufficient.
- Large multi-unit bookings (10+ TVs): book at least 4 weeks ahead regardless of season.
That said, we do accommodate last-minute bookings (even 24–48 hours notice) where our stock availability allows. Contact us and we'll do our best to help.
Is there a minimum rental period?
Our minimum rental period is a half-day (up to 6 hours). We offer the following rental duration options:
- Half-day — up to 6 hours of event use
- Full-day — up to 12 hours of event use
- Multi-day — 2, 3, or more consecutive days (typically at a per-day rate lower than single day)
- Weekly — 7-day rental
- Monthly — 30-day long-term rental (available for offices, retail installations, and long-running exhibitions)
Note that delivery, setup, and teardown time does not count against your rental period — the clock starts when your event begins.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept the following payment methods:
- Bank transfer (online banking to major Malaysian banks — Maybank, CIMB, RHB, Public Bank, etc.)
- Cash
- E-wallets — Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost
A deposit (typically 50%) is required upon booking confirmation to secure your equipment and delivery slot. The remaining balance is payable before or on the day of delivery.
Corporate clients and regular customers may discuss invoice-based payment terms. Please raise this when making your enquiry.
Technical Questions
What connection ports are available (HDMI, USB, etc.)?
All our rental TVs are equipped with standard connection ports suitable for event use, including:
- HDMI — minimum 2 ports on all units; HDMI 2.0 on 4K models
- USB — for media playback (photos, videos from USB drives)
- AV (composite) input — for older playback devices
- VGA input — available on most units for older laptops and projectors
- Headphone/audio output — 3.5mm audio out
- Optical audio output — on selected models
If you require DisplayPort, USB-C, or other specific ports, please mention this when booking so we can confirm compatibility or suggest alternatives.
Can I connect my laptop to the rental TV?
Yes — this is the most common use case at corporate events, seminars, and presentations. Connecting a laptop to a rental TV is straightforward:
- HDMI output (most modern laptops) — connect directly with the included HDMI cable.
- USB-C output — requires a USB-C to HDMI adapter. We recommend bringing your own, but let us know in advance and we'll try to assist.
- Mini DisplayPort / Thunderbolt — requires a Mini DP to HDMI adapter (bring your own).
- VGA output (older laptops) — a VGA to HDMI converter can be used; let us know in advance.
Our crew will test your laptop connection during setup to confirm everything displays correctly before the event begins.
Do you include HDMI cables with the TV?
Yes. A standard HDMI cable (typically 1.5–2 metres) is included with every TV rental at no extra charge. This cable is sufficient for connecting a laptop, media player, or streaming device positioned near the TV.
If you need a longer cable run — for example, connecting a laptop at a podium 5–10 metres away from the TV — please let us know in advance. We can supply extension cables or suggest signal amplifiers for long cable runs, which may incur a small additional charge.
Can the TV show 4K content or is it limited?
This depends on which TV model you rent:
- 4K UHD models — can display native 4K (3840×2160) content when connected via HDMI 2.0 or higher from a 4K source. These deliver the highest possible picture quality for your content.
- Full HD models — display at 1920×1080. If 4K content is connected, it will be downscaled to Full HD automatically. This still looks excellent for most event purposes, particularly when the audience is seated at normal viewing distances.
For events where native 4K quality is important — such as premium product launches, architectural showcases, or close-range viewing situations — please specifically request 4K displays when booking. We'll confirm which models are available.
